Merry Xmas to you! and you, and that guy behind the walls! Our present for yall is a new update for Aldebaraan!

Yes, its not a BIG update, neither a small one.

  • 18 new levels
  • 2 new items
  • Updated UI
  • Some minor bugs fixed

One of the new items is a portal. Classic funcionality: You enter from one side and get teleported to the other side. The outcoming angle of the ship its the portal’s angle. This gives the game a lot of new combinations and crazy situations.

The second item is the random moon. When a ship hit it, it gets destroyed and a random item will appear in its place, even a new random moon could appear.

It also gives the ship a random value to its power. May be rest a lot of power, a little, or give it a boost.

Tunning the arcade machine

In Shoor we make games for love. We try to make money out of it, but really this is all about love. Love for the games, for that old magic that use to pop up from our eyes when we were little childs in front of an arcade. Just standing there, watching “the machine” playing.

Today i raise you this: The SHOOR ARCADE MACHINE!

We plan to use it for events, mainly for 80 Boxes. But as you can notice its a “generic shoor” themed vynil, so we can show as many games as we want on it.

There still little details to polish, like the color of the buttoms and handles, time will get it done.

And…. in a dark place, a Shoor Arcade exclusive game is being forged.

The Dead Astronaut’s Background

Hello there space travelers!

While my VGA is melted down (fact that dont let me work in Unreal Engine 4, so i cant work with TDAH),  i took this time to polish the background story of the main character, the historical context and the mythological context, specially this last one.

The time line of the mythological context is so large that goes right to the beginning of the universe and beyond, to the previous universes.

I dont want to spoil anything, i just list some mayor events:

  • The Blind Archeologist destroys the previous universe and create this one using The Octogon
  • The rise and fall of The Ancients
  • the creation of The Three Elder Gods
  • the creation of The Eights
  • Creation of Thoi Sean, his star Aldebaraan and his duty to the mankind.
  • The trial of Dimitri and The Dead Astronaut’s House.

 

Sounds good right? at least to me 😀

One good thing of getting this background cooked is the fact that i was able to abord the elements of the game and the art way more accurate to the story. Some reflect of this is the progress of the main poster’s art

This is a (almost) final version of The Dead Astronaut’s house:

As you can see it still have a vintage movie style. This one in particular inspired in 2001: A Space Odyssey 

The drawing of the astronauts is something to polish, but the poster itself will be like this. You can see the aesthetic of the 60’s, you can see Aldebaraan, a star with mayor relevance in the story, you can also see Dimitri and the Octagon.

Aldebaraan released!

Yes! Aldebaraan is finally on the Google Play Store!

After a long ride, our first mobile game, Aldebaraan see the light of the day in its very first version, wich includes endless mode and a campaing with forty five levels that are easy-medium difficult balanced.

As days pass by, we will be updating the game with new maps, objets and art, so stay alert!

Greetings travelers! Today I’m sharing more info about The Dead Astronaut’s House.

As I’ve already told you, it will be a short game. It can take you some time between 5 or 60 minutes, it’s all about how much you explore the story behind the walls.

The Dead Astronaut’s House is a story of redemption. It is also a story of love. But in fact, it really is a story about a mysterious god and his childish will.

This will be the first part of many stories: a big series will be revealed along many games, videos, comics and written stories.

In the meanwhile, here is a tech demonstration. It’s an early stage of the scenario, but it’s a pretty accurate demonstration of the intended atmosphere for the game.

 

 

MTMH Patch 1.2

Good news everyone!

The patch 1.2 of My Tower My Home is here!

  • Add: The Final Boss Bubu, at wave 100.
  • Add: Gamepad support for player 1
  • Add: New sounds
  • Add: A new secret (muahaha)
  • Change: The camera system
  • Change: Some UI graphics
  • Change: Now the game save your game configuration
  • Change: The way to set up walls.
  • Fixed: lots of minor bugs, including the falling crate and Somnibot’s colisions.

 

It’s a pretty good list, ins’t?

 

The final boss, Bubu is here to break your spirit and eat your soul.  Bubu its a giant mechaserpet-rex boss for the “final” wave 100. I will not tell much about its mechanics, i will just say that Bubu likes lasers, and thigs that shoots lasers, BIG lasers. Bubu likes turtles too.

Took me a while, more than i expected to make player 1 able to use the gamepad. I simply didnt desing it for joystick, so the work was hard but finally done!

Part of  the interface  changed to fit the use of Joystick, like the ciruclar inventory and some options added for the selection of controls in coop mode. By default, joystick 1 is assigned to player 1, who also have the mouse and keyboard, when you start a coop game and only player 2 want to use joystick, you must change it up at control option or it wont work.

There are new sounds for the hero, for turrets and for, bosses.

 

The camera has changed, now its a fluent one that follow player wich a little delay and inertia, so its feel way much smooth. Same for transition, in the previous version of the game, when you push E key for check the core out or to swith camera between players, the camera simply appear there, now the camera travels fast and smoothly, which helps player to have a better idea of where are the things.

 

The game now saves configuration, like language, sound volume, fullscreen etc upon leaving the game.

 

Walls now appear by default in horizontal way (the more used way by far) and the pointer cannot leave the construction zone, everything is easier now!

 

Finally, a lots of minors bugs are dead now. Specially that anoying bug where crates fall off the map and lost forever.

Hi there! While the time pass by, I feel like my body grows larger and, thereby, my gravitation force.
Based on this gravity matter, and the Dark and Light theme of the Rikoshe Mobile Game Jam, I created Febo, a gravitation-based game… for the Jam.

Also, the shiny star got some inspiration from UnicornPlanet

In Febo you must bring light to those poor planets lost in the deep darkness of space, and keep them in a warm orbit around your star.

That’s it, take your star, get it close to the planet so it can be attracted by it’s gravity influence, and make the planet orbit not too close, not too far of your star.

In your adventure as a Galactic Lightbringer, you will find some stuff like lost astronauts, large planets, black holes, and a piece of dark chocolate.

Introducing: Aldebaraan

navecitasHello folks, let me introduce the first of many casual games that we are planning to release along the year: Aldebaraan.

The mechanics are simple: you have to score points, how do you score points?

  • Making your spaceships travel the longest distance possible without exploding.
  • Extra points for reaching outer space (top of the screen)
  • Making the ship bounce
  • Picking up space cookies

tabletsThere are obstacles in the way of the ship to the firmament. If you crash with some of these objects, you will explode, or get stuck, lose power, bounce or gain propulsion.

If you reach the goal score, you’ll advance to the next level, otherwise, you will suffer an eternal agony in the deep dark space, kind of.

In order to get the goal score, each level has 10 missions which points are summed up.

The game will be in the Google Play Store very soon!

Unveiling: UNFOGRAPHICS

tipitoLet’s talk about a game that we have been keeping in the closet for a while.

In Unfographics you take the role of a generic pictogram man who can travel throw infographics.
His purpose is unknown (for you). He travels in a machine called G.O.A.L that makes the infographic-space-travel-time-potato possible.

 

Every time he land in a new infographics, he is far from the machine and he must make his way altering the “reality”.

Changing a number over here, lying over there, switching some info… whatever takes to make a “bridge” to reach his G.O.A.L.

Is he a good man? A bad man? A hero? Or a naive entity that rules the entire existence without realizing about it?

That is up to you!

When will it be released? We don’t know! It’s not our priority right now (we are only four dudes and we are working in other games right now). Hope is for late 2016!

The game was born in a rush, during the Construct 2 Jam in 2015. The theme was Lies. The game you can see in Newgrounds was made in 2 days, that’s why it’s way too buggy, but the idea got a good reception so, as you can see, it’s going to be a real game, like Pinocchio.
