Tomorrow is the launch day of My Tower, My Home. We worked 25 hours per day this last month, and we have some goods and some bads:
The game will not be released for Mac and Linux, we encountered problems that escapes from our Punisher Hammer. But of course, it’s about time until we can fix this. In the meanwhile enjoy (or suffer) the windows version 🙂
The game system requierements are quite high, we worked alot to optimize this and we still are on it.
The game will initially have an 10% discount on Steam for the first week!
There are a lot of updates with a lot of good stuff coming up: graphics, better UI, more enemies, some new tower upgrades, new turrets, a new “ghost” perk, new coop abilities and whatever comes to our mind in the process.
The Steam Cards, icons, badges and emoticos are ready to hit the market!
The game is coming to the Humble Store too!
The new final boss is not ready yet, but almost :O

The release date is coming fast and My Tower My Home is getting a final beauty treatment!
Finally those old and colorless explosions have been replaced for really nice sprites that fit the game overall aesthetic.
The small, the medium and big explosions have changed, take a look:
Several FX improvement, like the skill “blink” effect, “core radiation” FX, Ice tower splash FX, Somnybot teleport and laser shots.
The coop mode got a good enhancement. Player 2, or “Somnybot” player, now has a whole branch of fine equipment to buy!
In order, from top to right:
Attack speed improvement
Attack damage improvement
Increase MAX health
Mines dropping improvement
Change Somnybot´s paint
Increase MAX shield capacity
These are all powerful tools against the evil forces of… the Anti Tower Association, but they are not cheap, and the money is shared between the two players, so you better get a good plan, or your friendship is over.
When the second player joins, the game gets harder, so the game will be “easier” only if you two knuckleheads cooperate.
In addition to all this, yes, Somnybot just got its own perk tree! Wel… “Tree”… Let’s better say optional passive skills.
If the player 2 is alive, you can choose a passive skill at the perk section. There are three and you can choose only ONE. You can switch anytime though.
Perk one: Somnybot´s Glory: At the end of the round, you get 100 points per 1 remaining Somnibot´s HP
Perk two:Somnybot´s Empire: At the end of the round, you get 20 gold per 1 remaining Somnibot´s HP
Perk three: Somnybot´s Battle Scars: At the end of the round, you get 1 experience points per 1 missing Somnibot´s HP
To sum up, now you have an extra reason to look after player 2 health points (HP), making the decision of sacrificing his health to help player one harder, unless you go for the risky Battle Scars!
And there is even more!
Somnybot have a new basic skill: Homing missiles!
These missiles are launched to every direction from Somnybot and for 1.5 seconds they are activated to follow Player 1 cursor. Player 2 fires, Player 1 aims.
This skill can be improved both with power and cool-down reduction.
The addition of the platform opens a huge variety of possible strategies for Somnybot. It can improve Somnybot´s firepower. It can be used to get both players together, to make a mobile “strong spot”, to carry the ice trap or the jump pad. It can even carry enemies if you dare!… it can do a lot of extra stuff!
Just take notice that Somnybot´s speed will decrease significantly if he is carrying Player 1. Yes, he is a little fatty hero.
Even when there are a lots of features to help players, MTMH is a really hardcore game, and will stay like that, because new enemies are coming to compensate all these coopy coop things.
The “nuclear enemy” will exclusively chase player 1, it will not go for the core and its damage is calculated from a base number plus a percentage of player’s one current health. So don’t let it touch you!
And wait! There is something coming, something big! HUGE!
The cooperative mode of MTMH is about to see the light!
The player 2 will not be another human, as you may have imagined, but instead an advanced version of the companion bot.
Player 2 will be a support for the main hero. This droid can shoot, bombard, shield and pick up items. Since it’s a flying droid, player 2 will be able to move quickly throw the tower and get crates and coins. It will be a sort of last second saving mini-hero.
Player 2 skills:
Return to master
This skills will always be available, but they will have a cool-down.
As long with all this, during the shopping time, 5 new options will be available to improve player 2 skills.
The coop mode will not be separated from the single player mode. If a gamepad is detected, player 2 will be able to join at anytime. If player 2 dies, the coop mode is over until the next shopping phase, where player 1 can buy a “repair bot” option that will cost gold (unless you don’t want to keep playing in coop, in that case, the game will be single player again)
The play style of coop mode is aimed to have a great synergy between both players. The droid by itself its not a big deal, but in combination with player 1 skills, it becomes very powerful.
For example, if player 1 throws a grenade, and player 2 intercepts it, it will create a grenade rain cluster way more powerful than the normal one.
Player 1 can build walls to make the droid’s lasers shoot bounce in special ways. Player 2 can shield turrets if player 1 is in trouble. There are many other ways of cooperation that you have to discover!
Not yet confirmed, the coop mode may have a special perk tree 🙂

Hello there! Today we are introducing the new perk system in My Tower My Home.
We always wanted MTMH to be a tower defense game mixed with action platforming, and why not? to have a role game feeling.
To achieve that, giving the player the possibility to buy hero upgrades was not enough, so we added a whole perk/leveling system for your character.
It is pretty classic: you kill bad guys, they give you experience, you level up and you gain a skill point.
You can spend that skill point in the buy section at the end of each round. A separated tab will pop if you click the skill point button at the top.
There are three main perks families: Economy, Hero and Tower. Each one havs different specialization branches.
The economy family has a money production branch and an airdrop specialization branch.
The hero family has health, experience and weapons branches.
The tower family has the turrets and core branches.
You can chose from different families, but specific perks require previous perks or perk branch completion in order to be purchased.
This system will multiply the possible strategies for the game in a great way. Hope you enjoy them!

My Tower My Home is a blend between a tower defense game and shooter-platformer 2D game.
You must defend the Tower Core, kill enemies, gain gold, buy upgrades for your hero, buy tower defenses, and build a strategy to resist a number of waves.

Story Mode and Coop may not be added at all. We’re considering it. It may imply way too much effort and we don’t even know if the game will sell well or not.
